This is a very good breakfast spot for locals. Nothing fancy, just large portions and low prices. Hash browns always seem to be perfectly browned, and the bacon is cooked just right. The serving size is so large, that my wife and I will frequently split meals. Sundays can be a little wait for a table, but there is overflow seating in the back. The nasty tobacco smell is gone now that Michigan has gone smoke free. Overall this is a great spot for breakfast that also serves lunch.

What you see is what you get! Like most of the reviews this place is not fancy but it delivers good food at a very inexpensive price. I had The Frenchy, two slices of French toast, two eggs & bacon for $5.35! My friend had the meat lovers omelet which she enjoyed with has browns and a homemade biscuit . Still just like $7 bucks. The place is dated but full of regulars. Plenty of parking and the place was still busy at 10 am on a Friday for breakfast .

It really depends on what time you come here. Your either going to get great service or crappy service. However the food is good and the wait times are slim to get seated

Went there for breakfast at 700 am on Memorial Day. Only a few people in there Service was ok to slow getting served and getting food to getting refills or anyone to ask is everything ok, I waited a few minutes for a refill of coffee, never got a refill of water. Meal was ok, portion size was decent, hash browns were a bit done,it came with sour cream but I had to ask for it when they brought it out, and had to ask for ketchup, things like that should be a no brainer, or on the table if you want it.

Seated quickly and order taken in a very reasonable amount of time. Ordered Country Boy scrambled, with crisp bacon and sourdough toast, plus side of biscuits and gravy. Took exactly 5 minutes for food to arrive. Biscuits and gravy stone cold so asked them to nuke them. Bacon was limp, eggs were obviously just thrown on the grill and chopped up with spatula. How difficult would it be to break the eggs in a small bowl and whisk them first? Center of hash browns were just raw shredded potatoes. Sourdough toast was well toasted which is the way I like it.

WOW! you won't find a better value for breakfast anywhere! Very good food priced VERY reasonably. Friendly folks too. This is the restaurant I would want to own if I owned a breakfast restaurant. Dings: a little smoky, in need of a remodel (don't change the homey feel, just the carpet). Expect to wait on busy days.

had breakfast here the other day, first time i tried it and i'll definitely be back. One of the best restaurant breakasts i have ever had. Portions are large, food is excellent and very economically priced as well. if you leave hungry, it's your own fault. Not a fancy place- but i like that. Recommend the Biscuits & Gravy Sampler!

I have eaten here a few times over the years. The food is very good, but the restaurant has a bit of wear and tear that shows. It is big enough for groups, and their breakfast menu is really good. Their location on the corner of Riverside and Columbia make it easy to find.

OK. The food is decent and priced reasonably. Don't go here looking for 4 star stuff. This is a bit of a dive, but their breakfast is pretty solid.
